The layering concept can be used for all seasons and is designed for an active lifestyle covering all kids' needs for outdoor play. Our layering concept consists of the three above layers; base, mid and shell. Get to know even more about the layers here:

• The design of the base layer is to transport moisture away and ensuring a comfortable and dry feel and body. It's important that this layer is skintight. We recommend wool as the base layer. We see this as the optimal fabric to transport moisture away from the body and still ensuring a comfortable an dry feel. We have a wide selection of wool styles for both babies and older kids.

• The purpose of the mid layer is creating and retaining heat - while still allowing excess heat to escape. We recommend fleece as the mid layer as it ensures a lightwight breathable and fast drying experience creating a comfortable feel. As an extra feature the fleece has Bionic Finish which means that water will peel off. The jacket is designed, so that it can be used alone as well. The pants have adjustable waist to ensure a personal fit.

• The shell layer protects from wind and rain often without any insulation added. Designed to keep your child dry and block out wind. The shell jacket and pants have hummelTEX waterproff: a technical coating just under the surface of the shell fabric. This coating acts as a waterproof and breathable shield along with water repellent Bionic Finish impregnation and taped seams. The shell jacket can be worn both as a summer and spring jacket - and by adding extra layers under it, it works great during autumn and winter as well. The pants have adjustable and detachable suspenders and at the bottom of the pants the outer fabric is inside the pants as well to ensure enhanced durability and protects against wear and tear.
